Client Operated Businesses

poster storeHome of Hope uses the concept of “client operated businesses” to facilitate job placements for disabled persons it serves. These are in the forms of facility based businesses and community based enclaves/work crews.

Facility based businesses are much like sheltered workshops and utilize job coaches to teach vocational skills to clients.  Enclaves and work crews are small groups of people funded by Home of Hope and supported by a trained job coach.

Mobile groups fulfill your labor needs at your location.  Examples include janitorial crews, assembly, cleaning & stocking.

Home of Hope maintains all records, makes payroll, provides insurance and tracks production.  Work is completed to your standards.

CENTSIBLE SPENDING: community based thrift stores located in Vinita, Claremore, Miami, Jay, and Pryor. Clients employed by these businesses learn skills in customer relations, coordination of donations, pricing and display of products, inventory management, operation of a cash register & making change. Contributions of products to our thrift stores are welcome and tax deductible.

HORNETS SNACK BAR: is a public restaurant located at Home of Hope’s main campus which is operated by staff and clients. Open to the public from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Clients working here learn cash register and money skills, customer relations, proper food handling and preparation, delivery, inventory and janitorial skills.
